The University Student Federation (FEU) History Chair will be established this Monday, March 24, at Guantánamo University of Medical Sciences with the goal of recovering the organization’s historical memory through the individual experiences of students.

Silvio Eneider Cuevas de la Cruz, president of the FEU ( the University of Guantánamo) at the University of Medical Sciences, announced that this structure will be dedicated to the dissemination and promotion of the political work of university student leaders, including Julio Antonio Mella and José Antonio Echeverría, and to expanding the study of the revolutionary thought of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, and of the Heroic Guerrilla Ernesto Guevara de la Serna.

The establishment of the Chair takes place within the framework of the Nuestro Credo (Our Creed) Conference, organized from March 21 to 25 by the FEU (University of the University of Medical Sciences) at the Guantánamo University of Medical Sciences in honor of the life and legacy of revolutionary leader Julio Antonio Mella, founder of the aforementioned student organization.

The event program includes resources on the Mella project and the University Amateur Artists Movement, recognized by the Ministry of Culture as the highest level and quality in the country, endorsed by its consistency and social impact.

The Nuestro Credo Conference at the Guantanamo University of Medical Sciences will close with an Anti-Imperialist Tribune on Tuesday, March 25, at 7:30 a.m.
