Guantanamo.- Students from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities at the University of Guantánamo (UG) have been recognized for their exceptional research achievements at two prestigious national competitions held in Santa Clara and Havana, respectively.
According to a post on UG’s institutional Facebook page, these award-winning projects covered a diverse range of topics, including the philosophies of José Martí and Fidel Castro, as well as innovative teaching proposals for junior high school students.
This recognition highlights the high academic standards upheld by this eastern Cuban institution of higher education.
At the Central University “Marta Abreu” of Las Villas, five notable projects received awards. These include “Reflections on the Essay ‘Our America'” by José Martí, which delves into the cultural and political ideas expressed by the Cuban National Hero.
Likewise, “Fidel Castro’s Thought on the Role of the Educator,” explores the revolutionary leader’s perspectives on education; “The Syntactic Analysis of Simple Sentences,” a linguistic study aimed at enhancing language comprehension; and “Strengthening the Value of Patriotism in the Language and Literature Subject,” a proposal to foster national pride through educational curricula.
These accolades not only celebrate the intellectual rigor and creativity of UG’s students but also reinforce the university’s commitment to contributing meaningfully to Cuba’s academic and cultural discourse.
