Guantánamo.- Nearly 200 annex and experimental classrooms are operating in the current school year in Guantánamo work centers, with the aim of improving the comprehensive training of future middle technicians and skilled workers who chose the specialties of technical and professional education.

With these educational alternative agreed 10 courses ago with organizations and enterprises in the territory, they made it possible to make up for the lack of bibliography, as well as high-tech means and specialists to guarantee the quality of the comprehensive training of more than two thousand adolescents.

In these educational settings, theoretical and practical classes are given in workshops, laboratories and productive areas in order to take advantage of the existing technology and resources to develop in future technician’s skills in different trades including gardening, beauty and hair styling, carpentry, hotel accommodation, among others demanded today by the Guantanamo population.

The annex classrooms also operate in Guantánamo in cooperatives, organic gardens, cattle and dairy farms and farms of outstanding producers, areas of great importance for the comprehensive training of technicians and qualified workers, in charge of promoting the socio-economic development of the province.
