Guantanamo.- The municipal Department of Culture, in collaboration with the Party, Government, and various political and mass organizations, is gearing up for Caimanera’s renowned Aquatic Carnival.
This festival showcases a rich tapestry of artistic and cultural expressions, alongside significant theoretical meeting.
Scheduled for July 17th to 19th, the festivities will unfold in key locations such as Caimanera Bay, José Martí Park, and along the streets of Martí, Marina Norte, and Marina Sur.
This year’s celebration will kick off with a unique parade featuring boats and candidates, symbolizing the diverse organizations within the coastal community.
The application period for the 2026 Queen of the Sea title is open until July 13th, inviting young women aged 14 to 25 to participate. Interested candidates can register at the Casa de la Cultura 13 de Abril, where they will receive guidance and training from experienced specialists at the institution.
