Guantanamo.- The Iván Rodríguez Livestock Company in Niceto Pérez, Guantánamo, has failed to meet its milk delivery targets, prompting a thorough evaluation during a recent meeting focused on the province’s socioeconomic vitality.

High levels of non-compliance among producers have raised concerns about the supply of milk essential for children, pregnant women, and social consumption.

Yoel Pérez García, the region’s political leader, emphasized the urgent need for change, asserting that contracts must be treated as legally binding to ensure accountability among producers.

He stressed the importance of achieving full compliance to guarantee that milk reaches its intended recipients.

The meeting also covered other critical issues, including the repair program for electrical transformers, which is vital for maintaining service in local communities amid the ongoing energy crisis.

Additionally, discussions included the enhancement of clinical and epidemiological laboratories at the Dr. Agosthino Neto Central Teaching Hospital and the expansion of salcophage factories across all municipalities.
