The summer stage will open on June 15 at the four Campismo Popular facilities in the province (Yacabo Abajo and Cajobabo, in Imías, and Duaba and El Yunque, in Baracoa), which will operate with 96 rooms and capacity for 424 people, reported Omar Suárez Hernández, manager of that business group in Guantanamo.
The manager explained that the reservations of the camping site facilities began on May 5 and they are already at 96 percent, although only 42 percent of customer transportation is guaranteed to date. He added that they expect to contract the services of new economic actors to ensure the arrival of the clients to the facilities.
Suárez Hernández also said that there are offers of spending a day in the camping site facilities, but only for clients who arrive by their own transportation means, which also includes in this modality, the facility located on El Guanal Beach, known also as Doña Yuya Beach.
He announced that in order to optimize the quality of benefits, a program has been implemented, which in addition to training workers, they took into account the maintenance of service infrastructure, accommodation, outdoor areas, technical equipment for recreation, while gastronomic resources are guaranteed.
In the camping site facilities there is a program of recreational activities according to the environment and conditions of the each place. They have game rooms, rustic parks, sports areas, and shows and dancing areas for the nights, said the manager Omar Suárez Hernández.
The manager finally explained that although the prices from June 20 will be higher in correspondence with the high season (from June 20 to September 15), the Campismo Popular Agency continues to position itself as the most economical and most interesting recreational offer for the Cuban family.
