Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla today denounced the protection given in the United States to those who finance, organize, instigate and train for terrorist acts against the Caribbean nation.
On the social network Facebook, the foreign minister stated that the United States Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, organizer of a ministerial meeting against alleged left-wing terrorism, intentionally ignores the protection given to terrorists on US territory.
The latter, “primarily in the State of Florida, coincidentally, where he himself comes from,” the island’s Foreign Minister pointed out.
Rodríguez recalled that these groups, protected by the United States government on its territory and by politicians like himself, have murdered 3,478 Cubans and caused disabilities to 2,099.
Furthermore, he argued, they organized more than 600 assassination attempts against the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, even with the participation of the Central Intelligence Agency.
In the same publication, he questioned the lack of action by the US government to dismantle the terrorist networks based in that territory, despite the information shared by Cuba with US law enforcement agencies.
“How was it possible for a terrorist commando, with weapons of war and powerful explosives, to prepare, train and set sail for Cuba a few months ago with total freedom?” Rodríguez inquired.
“Who are the real terrorists?” declared the top diplomat of the Caribbean nation.
