Guantánamo – Outstanding educators from the Guantánamo Province enjoy, together with their families, a four-day period of rest in the Summer camps set up in the Baracoa, Imías and San Antonio del Sur municipalities.

During their stay, vacationers make the most of sports and cultural activities, as well as trips to the beach, rivers, among other proposals organized by the staff who work in the institutions.

They also go on excursions, visits to the April 11 Museum and the José Martí Forest, located in the town Cajobabo, in Imías Municipality, while they also go to the La Punta Fortress and the Matachín Museum, as well as other sites of historical, cultural, natural and tourist interest in Baracoa, the first Cuban Villa.

The plan of activities aimed at the most outstanding Guantanamo educators and students at the end of each school year also includes this year’s pioneering facilities in Imías and vacation homes located in San Antonio del Sur, Tortuguilla, Niceto Pérez and the provincial capital, as well as trips to the Zoológico de Piedra (Stone Zoo), in Manuel Tames.
