Guantánamo.- Research work focused on the progress made by the educational sector in Guantanamo related to the use of audiovisual media to promote better learning in schoolchildren, as well as inclusive education, which has been widespread for more than five years in all teaching levels in the eastern territory, stand out among the main contributions that educators will present at the Pedagogy 2025, International Congress: “Meeting for the unity of educators” that will take place from February 10 to 13 in Havana.
In this nineteenth edition of the conclave, the delegates from Guantanamo will have the opportunity to share their experiences related to environmental education for sustainable development, in addition to preventive work, science and innovation in the sector, citizen education for a culture of peace, among other presentations.
Liera Tay Salazar, advisor for scientific activities, said that the main results related to rural education and multigrade education, the training of middle-level technicians and qualified workers and their contribution to the production of coconut, coffee and cocoa in the province, among other high-impact research, will also be presented in the commissions, symposiums and stands.
She also reported that the Forum of Entrepreneurs and Leaders in Products and Services for Education will be held, a space that facilitates the exchange between entrepreneurs, scientists, technicians, government representatives and non-governmental organizations, all related to education and other entities interested in the possibilities of investment, co-production and foreign and national collaboration in the Cuban educational sector.
The delegation made up of 28 educators will be headed by Raquel Laviste Villafruela, provincial director of the branch in Guantánamo, as well as researchers, doctors and new teachers, in charge of socializing the educational innovations in favor of the learning of more than 87,184 students in the easternmost territory of Cuba.
