Guantanamo.- Sharing the main advances of the educational sector in the province, based on quality and learning, is one of the objectives of Guantanamo educators who take part in the 19th “Pedagogia 2025” International Congress that just begins from this Monday, February 10 to February 13, at the Havana Convention Center.
The delegation from the easternmost territory is made up of 28 educators, as well as researchers, doctors and new teachers from all educational levels, with representation from the 10 municipalities and their work will focus on socializing the educational innovations that benefit student learning.
Yakirurbis García Castillo, deputy director general of Education in the province, explained that the purpose of the delegation is to present the quality of learning in Guantánamo, as well as the main achievements derived from research work that positively impact the training of students, and projects in Technical and Professional Education that contribute to the economic development of each territory.
The deputy director also specified that in this edition the stand modality will be used, which offers a stage for scientific exchange between Cuban and foreign specialists, and that this will be an exceptional occasion to exhibit and market their productions, and to establish negotiations based on the interests of each delegation.
The Guantanamo delegation will address the main results related to rural education and multigrade education, inclusive education and the contribution to the production of coconut, coffee and cocoa in the province.
Yaima de la Caridad Salas Ruíz, director of the 14 de Junio Special School, highlighted that Guantánamo works for equitable and quality inclusion, the province has stood out in the implementation of educational projects in this school, which acts as a resource and support center to facilitate the inclusion of these children in regular schools.
Organized every two years by the Cuban Education Ministry (MINED), the international event is aimed at education, science, and innovation for sustainable human development, under the auspices of regional and international organizations linked to Education and as a novelty the congress will feature the Fourth Forum of Entrepreneurs and Leaders in Products and Services for Education.
Cuba will be represented by 500 delegates from all the provinces of the country, among them 20 students who have won national competitions, more than 40 doctors in science and 80 masters and the event will gather teachers, professors, educators, researchers, and sector leaders from 21 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, Africa, Europe, Asia, and the United States
