Guantanamo.- The Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Cuba has granted special recognition to the province of Guantánamo as part of the national event that marks the July 26th anniversary.
This recognition of the region—known as the land of the *Guaso*—is a testament to the people’s resilience and their pursuit of alternatives amidst the complexities of the country’s current economic and social panorama.
Guantánamo continues to drive priority programs with broad public participation, increase and diversify food production, and maintain stable healthcare services and quality in the teaching-learning process, among other achievements.
The announcement, made this Friday during the prime-time broadcast of the national television news, was received by the local population gathered in front of the Provincial Party Committee headquarters, in the presence of the territory’s top political and government officials.
