Guantanamo.- A significant number of retirees in Guantánamo Province, totaling 64,444, will soon receive their payments by mail. This initiative was revealed during a daily meeting at the Party headquarters, attended by key officials and leaders from various institutions in the region.
Nubia Sánchez Neyra, the Coordinator of Programs and Objectives for the Provincial Government, indicated that this new payment method will commence in Guantánamo municipality on Tuesday, covering payments for July.
The plan aims to assist over 20,000 retirees who currently utilize electronic payroll checks and more than 49,000 pensioners who receive funds via debit cards from local banks and exchange offices.
Additionally, the Extra Cash service will offer another payment option, involving micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises, local development projects, and self-employed individuals, alongside state-owned businesses.
During the meeting, Yoel Pérez García, the First Secretary of the Party in the province, emphasized the importance of ensuring timely transportation for patients and healthcare staff, highlighting its critical role in maintaining effective healthcare services.
