Guantanamo.- Patriotic events, economic contributions, and support for food production through urban gardens are tasks carried out by student centers in the province these days in commemoration of April 4th, the 65th and 64th anniversaries of the José Martí Pioneer Organization (OPJM) and the Young Communist League (UJC, in Spanish abbreviation), respectively.
Sailin Frómeta Tito, first secretary of the UJC in the province, explained that visiting remote communities and paying tribute to the martyrs are among the main objectives of the activities led by the University Student Federation, the Federation of Secondary School Students, the José Martí Pioneer Organization, and the Young Communist League in celebration of these anniversaries.
The impactful tasks include cleaning and beautification projects in vulnerable communities, as well as tours to historical sites, and exchanges with veterans of the Revolution.
