Guantanamo.- The Health Innovation Fair will be held on October 29 at the University of Medical Sciences of Guantánamo. The event will feature 66 presentations by healthcare professionals, researchers, faculty members, and students from various health institutions.

According to Rodney Maso Serrano, general secretary of the institution’s trade union bureau, the fair is intended to bridge the gap between scientific research and practical solutions. It aims to promote research, encourage specialized thinking, and develop solutions for the healthcare sector.

A Symposium on Health Innovation and a Meeting on the Generalization of Results will also take place as part of the event. These academic forums will provide opportunities for discussion, experience-sharing, and analysis of progress in healthcare innovation.

The fair’s program will include an exhibition of equipment and devices designed to address current healthcare challenges in Guantánamo. Participants will demonstrate how knowledge can be transformed into technology, effective solutions, and improved well-being for the population.

The event will be dedicated to the 98th anniversary of the birth of Commander Ernesto “Che” Guevara de la Serna—honorary president of the National Association of Innovators and Rationalizers—and to the centenary of the birth of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz.
