Guantanamo.- A modern history room equipped with cutting-edge technology was inaugurated at the José Maceo Pre-University Institute of Exact Sciences (IPVCE) as part of the Third Improvement Process of the National Education System in order to upgrade the qualification of the new generations.
With this interactive space students can pursue their studies of history in a manner most conducive to learning through virtual visits to local historical sites such as the Mausoleum of the Mambisado in La Confianza, Playitas de Cajobabo and the 13 camps of José Martí as he passed through Guantánamo after landing on April 11, 1895 to join the Necessary War.
The facility has a large database with audiovisual materials and digital bibliographies.
The room, part of the elective curriculum, provides access to virtual reality and navigation platforms specialized in history. This innovative approach goes beyond traditional teaching methods, promoting active and participatory learning through interaction with the content that is expected to generate a positive impact on the understanding and interest in local and national history among students.
With new technologies, IPVCE modernizes the teaching of history and turns learning into an enriching and attractive experience for young people.
