Guantanamo.- A delegation of professors from Guantánamo University of Medical Sciences, organized into three working groups, is participating this Friday in the sixth edition of Ibero-American Researchers’ Night. The event is being held in the form of a symposium featuring 34 research presentations.

The institution’s researchers are addressing key topics, including the teaching and learning process, climate change, disaster risk reduction, and public health.

Organized regionally by the Organization of Ibero-American States, the event aims to disseminate local research findings and strengthen ties with colleagues from other regions.

With the support of the Cuban Academy of Sciences and the ministries of Public Health, Higher Education, and Education, Ibero-American Researchers’ Night also seeks to bring science closer to society and encourage interest in scientific careers.

The event further highlights the impact of research on everyday life and strengthens ties between the scientific community and the general public.
