Guantánamo – The more than 20 Young Computer and Electronics Clubs in the easternmost province of Cuba foster in this Summer stage their usual activities with multiple options to share knowledge, joy and healthy recreation in their facilities

Among the initiatives planned by the facilities in the ten municipalities of the province, include the video game tournaments, promotional days of our different EcuRed products and services, and access to special editions of documentaries, movies and series from the Backpack package.

Throughout the month of August, short summer courses on the topics of educational robotics, electronics, social networks and electronic commerce are also held; In addition to various activities to bring technology closer to different social sectors such as people with disabilities, the elderly, children and young people, and inhabitants of rural and mountainous areas.

Aimed at the Guantanamo community, the activities also include screening documentaries, films and videos dedicated to the 98th birthday of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro and International Youth Day, the 64th anniversary of the Federation of Cuban Women.

The Youth Computer and Electronics Clubs were founded on September 8, 1987, and since then they have been considered a kind of Cuban family computer that everyone can access at any time of the year, with greater accessibility in the summer.
