The Jagüey Group, distinguished in the movement of amateur artists of the University of Guantanamo, participates in the National Festival of Amateur Artists that takes place in Matanzas.
Jagüey will seek to reaffirm its position in stardom because in the last edition of the event it managed to obtain several awards that support the quality of the group’s work. The several-award-winning music-dance group Jagüey: it was awarded the Gold Prize in Folklore Cuban with the master piece Yahobá.
They have also obtained the Identity Award, Grand Prize of the Dance Jury and three recognitions, in the 23rd edition of the ‘University Student Federation (FEU), which was based in Havana, even though at that time they had been away for more than five years these competitions.
