Guantanamo ICAPFor its constant opposition to the United States Naval Base in Guantanamo, as well as the promotion of a José Marti and Fidel Castro’s ideas in the community in the province, the National Union of Public Administration Workers conferred the National Distinction Diploma to the delegation of the Cuban Institute for Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP), in the eastern territory.

Niuris Cabrera Ibáñez, secretary of the aforementioned labor movement in the province, pointed out that this distinction is conferred on the fourth consecutive occasion, in recognition of the diplomatic work of the ICAP towards foreign representatives with deep attachment to the socialist ideology.

The leader also highlighted the donations managed during the last year, despite the siege of the US government against Cuba, as well as the attention to students of other countries, in close collaboration with political organizations, of the masses, and members of Guantanamo civil society.

Today this important center of the territory coordinates the actions of the community that follows Martí and Feidel’s ideas of the Caribe District in the Guantanamo City, a group of people with progressive ideals and followers of the ethical principles of José Martí, trained to transform their environments in a positive way.][/bg_collapse]
