Colorful and enthusiastic parade of workers flooded the main streets of the city of Guantanamo where the walk-run took place, in salute to May Day, in coordination with National Institute of Sport and Recreation (INDER).

Representatives of the labor movements of the Cuban Workers Federation (CTC, in Spanish) in the province, together with family members and union leaders, participated on Saturday, April 15th,  in the marathon that is part of the activities for International Workers’ Day.

 

 

The members of the Public Administration Union were the competitors with the best result in the event, recognition given by Juana Eglis Fernández Louit, General Secretary of the Provincial Committee of the CTC, and Richard Cruz Alcedo, director of INDER in Guantanamo.

 

 

On the occasion of the May 1st parade, Fernández Louit called the more than 128 thousand Guantanamo workers to join the activities for the event that commemorates the World Proletarian Day.][/bg_collapse]
