Guantanamo.- More than 1,000 first-year students enrolled in the full-time program joined the Federation of University Students (FEU) on Wednesday during a ceremony held at José Antonio Echeverría Plaza at the University of Medical Sciences of Guantánamo.
Disnel Alejandro Laos Reyes, a first-year student in the Clinical Bioanalysis program, read the oath of the detachment named after distinguished Cuban scientist Carlos J. Finlay.
The new members then took the pledge, committing themselves to upholding the legacy of Cuban science, devoting themselves fully to their studies and research, and fulfilling the missions entrusted to them by the country’s Party and government leadership.
