Guantanamo – The Guantanamo University of Medical Sciences held a Special Morning Meeting on Monday to resume teaching activities for first-year students in different careers and also for the rest of undergraduate students.

The meeting took place at the William Ganén Prats Theater of the campus, in the presence of Dr. Jose Luis Aparicio, director of Postgraduate Studies at the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP).

With the exception of Artemisa, the school-year was resumed in all the country’s Universities of Medical Sciences, higher education centers that did not stop in the face of the effects of hydrometeorological events. In Guantanamo, the situation was difficult but gratifying for the teachers and students who unconditionally support the recovery efforts.

The National Health System has as a priority the preservation of people’s lives and following the passage of Hurricane Oscar, working groups were created to ensure health services.
