The radio made by the public becomes the thematic axis of the third edition of the Punto Cero Youth Radio Event, from June 24 to 28 in Guantanamo.

The meeting will be open to journalists, producers, program directors, scriptwriters and other specialists under 35 years old, related to radio creation in traditional or new platforms.

Sponsored by the Director of Radio and Audiovisual Section of the Hermanos Saíz Association in the province, the meeting aims to reflect from theory and practice on the approach of the media agenda to the public agenda, to inform, educate and entertain, and also to the feedback between the two agendas.

Punto Cero, in its third edition, will be dedicated to the 87th anniversary of CMKS Radio Trinchera Antimperialista, the main promoter of the initiative; to the 75th anniversary of master radio broadcaster Marta Reyes Noa, winner of the 2009 National Radio Award, and to the 20th anniversary of local radio station La Voz del Sol, in Maisí.

The jury, after selecting the best works, will propose to the Punto Cero Organizing Committee,  the radio broadcasters invited to participate  in the on-site event in June.

There will be panels, conferences and workshops, as well as participation in the production and improvement of radio programs of

CMKS and Voz del Sol radio stations, while promoting exchanges among specialists and the public.
