Nearly 20 thousand Education workers benefit from the salary reward in the Guantanamo Province, according to Resolution 23/2023 of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, which establishes an increase in additional payment to those who work in the system based on experience level and special working conditions.
The starting salary of teachers with five years of service is approximately thousand pesos, and increase up to three decades of work, earning 400 pesos every five years. In addition to expertise, teachers who work in pedagogical schools and Pre-University Vocational Institutes of Exact Sciences, who have special distinction within the system, are also rewarded.
The teachers who, in addition to carrying out the activity that normally corresponds to them, assume special conditions to carry out the tasks of other teacher, should be also rewarded. These provisions are a fair recognition of the dedication of its workers, and are aimed at stabilizing the union’s workforce, committed to continuing to raise the quality of the educational teaching process.
