Guantánamo Province in the Yateras, Niceto Pérez, Manuel Tames, Caimanera and Baracoa municipalities, informed Ángela Maura Correoso, director of Resource Planning at the General Directorate of Education.
She also pointed out that the rest of the municipalities are expected to be incorporated gradually, as long as the industry is able to distribute the school uniforms during the month of August and they will be sold in some 52 stores or commercial centers, located throughout Guantanamo.
In this first stage, Correoso pointed out that the students will receive two sets of these uniforms for pre-school and fifth grade, while those in seventh, tenth and first year of Technical and Professional Education (ETP), and Pedagogical School, will have only one uniform, and then will be completed with another one, according to the availability of the fabric to the industry.
She also specified that the commercialization will not be carried out through vouchers, but in a controlled way by certified lists, issued by the General Directorates of Education in the territory and Commerce agencies.
