Guantánamo – The Desembarco del Granma educational institution in Guantánamo, specializing in the care of young children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), received a valuable donation of toys and educational games that will contribute to improving the quality of the education and development process for students.
The new teaching resources are very useful for the specialists and educators at the center, and enrich intervention and stimulation strategies.
This donation will also serve as fundamental support for the activities of the “My Blue World” Project, an initiative that serves the 48 children diagnosed with ASD in the municipality of Guantánamo.
The materials received are specifically selected to also foster the development of cognitive, communicative, and social skills, adapting to the individual needs of each child.
The Special Education Department of the Municipal Education Directorate in Guantánamo, and the “Desembarco del Granma” institution, express their sincere and profound gratitude to the donor, Daysi Ríos.
