A First Prize and a mention was the result of the Solvision Local TV Channel, from Guantanamo, in the 20th National Festival, held from February 23 to 25 in Villa Clara, with the presence of representatives from all the television channels of Cuba´s provinces.
The First Prize went to the popular program ¡En Directo!, a space that every Wednesday addresses, with the presence of managers, some of the main topics that are part of the public agenda, with a real approach and the participation of the population through calls and interaction with Solvisión’s digital platforms.
In order to complement the intention of continuing to improve television through professional exchanges, together with the 20th Festival, a television creation workshop was held where content management, the little use of research for audiovisual production, the need to broadcast the work of local TV channels on national media, training personnel to combat the sector´s deprofessionalization and the importance of receiving and processing public comments to improve television work, among other topics.
