Guantánamo – The Bachelor degree in Social Work is one of the novelties that distinguish the current 2024-2025 school year at the University of Guantánamo, as part of the process of improvement of higher education.
This irregular course responds to the need for improvement of social workers, and it is also expected to begin at the University campuses of the of Caimanera, Baracoa, El Salvador, Manuel Tames and Niceto Pérez municipalities.
Covering a five-year period, after graduation, future professionals will strengthen the workforce in the Labor and Social Security Directorates, health centers, among other institutions that demand this qualified force.
To opt for social work that can change reality of Guantanamo, as well as providing personalized attention to vulnerable families, will be the greatest challenge for students who began their studies in the Bachelor of Social Work at the University of Guantanamo and its 9 municipal centers.
