Guantánamo – The University of Guantánamo (UG) is ready to host a hundred outstanding students and young workers in the summer camp that will be inaugurated in that higher education center from July 27 to the first of August.

The participants will be welcomed on Saturday at the Casa de la Música, while on Sunday morning they are going to Cajobabo Beach, where in addition to recreation, they will have an exchange with the residents in that community of the Imías Municipality and the night, a Balloon Party at the Nevada Club, in Guantanamo City.

Those awarded on July 29 will have the opportunity to participate in the panel that will debate the role of culture as a weapon and shield of the nation in the face of the global colonization and the need to preserve our own identity.

During the Summer Camp at UG, the activities are aimed at a visit to La Confianza Mausoleum and a tour of the Santiago de Cuba province, where students and workers will visit the Santa Ifigenia Cemetery, among other places of interest.

The program also includes productive work at the Los Lirios farm and a walk through the Stone Zoo, as well as other recreational activities at the Stockholm Bar, the Ranchón Triple Play and a swim in the Villa La Lupe pool.

Members of the University Student Federation, the Federation of High School Students and young workers, all with an outstanding career, will be stimulated from July 27 to August 1 with a stay in the UG Summer Camp that is already ready to receive them.
