PhD. Jesús Estupiñán Ricardo, vice president of the Latin American Association of Neutrosophic Sciences (ALCN, in Spanish), made a donation of updated technology computer equipment  to the editorial team of the journal Scientific Information (RIC), official publication of the Guantanamo University of Medical Sciences (UCMGT) on the occasion of commemorating the first anniversary of the signing of an inter-institutional collaboration agreement.

The donation consisted of 3 desktops, 2 laptops, 3 printers and a 24-port switch, which serves to connect all the equipment in the local area network.

These devices considerably optimize the quality and speed of professional work in the provincial Medical Sciences Information Center (CPICM) and facilitate access to knowledge for the benefit of the Cuban health system, the engineer Leeyang Díaz Chieng said, who is main editor of the RIC.

The moment was appropriate for the presentation of a diploma of recognition granted by the ALCN to Dr. Yanet del Carmen Pérez Ferreiro, rector of the UCMGT, for the valuable contribution of the institution to the development of scientific research in the region, while Dr. Estupiñán Ricardo received the 40th Anniversary Distinction of Higher Medical Education, for his outstanding commitment to the development of Medical Sciences.

The moment was appropriate for awarding a diploma in recognition, granted by the ALCN, to Dr. Yanet del Carmen Pérez Ferreiro, rector of the UCMGT, for her valuable contribution of the institution to the development of scientific research in the region, while Dr. Estupiñán Ricardo was awarded with the 40th Anniversary Distinction of Higher Medical Education, for his outstanding commitment to the development of Medical Sciences.
