Cuban Book Institute President Juan Rodríguez informed in this capital about the 33rd Havana International Book Fair, to be held in Cuba in the first quarter of 2025.
The official, who is part of a delegation that is attending the Bogota International Book Fair, Filbo 2024, presented the peculiarities of the major literary event in Cuba.
The press conference was held at the Lee la Naturaleza Hall, which is the motto chosen for the event in the Colombian capital.
A lecture on the Cuban literary and publishing panorama with writers Enrique Pérez and Edelmis Anoceto was held at the Cesar Hurtado Auditorium.
The first activity by the Cuban delegation at the Bogota event consisted of launching on Thursday of the digital catalog of Ediciones Sed de Belleza, the magazine in digital format Violas, the presentation of the Epub “Estoy aquí” (I Am Here) for children and teenagers, and the bilingual anthology “Los Beat, Poesía de la Rebelión” (The Beat, Poetry of Rebellion).
Filbo 2024 opened to the public at the Corferias venue on Wednesday, April 17, in the presence of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, the president of Brazil, the country to which the event is being dedicated.
