Guantánamo.- Dicha Grande Project was officially launched today in El Salvador, marked by the symbolic distribution of food, fruits, vegetables, and charcoal to social protection institutions. This initiative engages individuals under judicial supervision in community and productive work, facilitating their social reintegration.
The inauguration coincided with the centennial celebrations of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz and was attended by local political and governmental leaders. They observed the initial donation aimed at supporting the Family Support System (SAF) and the Senior Citizens’ Home in the municipal capital.
Venus Menléndez Valenciano, President of the Municipal Court, emphasized that the project extends beyond mere material aid, focusing on restorative goals. She highlighted the importance of involving these individuals in community service and agricultural activities, aiming to foster connections with the community and promote a crime-free future.
Through “Dicha Grande,” El Salvador aligns with national efforts that integrate restorative justice, food production, and social support, showcasing the potential for successful reintegration through collective endeavors.
