The Young Communists League (UJC, in Spanish) and the José Martí Pioneers Organization (OPJM, in Spanish) celebrate their 61st and 62nd anniversaries, respectively, with various activities in the economic, political and cultural order; said Idrialis González Turcáz, General Secretary of the UJC in Guantánamo.

The UJC leader explained that the commemorations include the climbing the highest mountain of each municipality in the province, voluntary blood donation days, productive works and the political-cultural gala in the eastern battalion of the Border Brigade.

The program for April 4 also includes the traditional Guantanamo Night with varied gastronomic offers, sale of handicrafts and music concerts, among other options.

In the same way, the pioneers of primary education will enjoy of the “Cuba mi país” and “Papalote” festivals, as well as the presentation of the Escaramujo Project of the José Martí Brigade.

The 61st anniversaries of the UJC and 62nd of the José Martí Pioneers Organization, respectively, constitute motivation for those who make up these organizations and aspire to have a better life project in Cuba based on unity, commitment, participation, joy and responsibility.

Finally Idrialis González Turcáz, the General Secretary of the UJC in the province congratulates all the pioneers and young people, especially the six Guantanamo members belonging to the University of Medical Sciences, CITMA, the Provincial Supreme Court and the MININT who recently received the Abel Santa María Cuadrado Award, a  National Bureau of the UJC proposal and in the presence of the President of the Republic Miguel Díaz-Canel who accompanied the honorees at the national ceremony recently held in Havana.[/bg_collapse]
