Guantanamo celebrates activities for Workers' DayProductive tasks, volunteer work, blood donations and a youth and students parade are part of the program for the workers’ movement in Guantanamo province to be celebrated on May Day, the International Workers’ Day.

The actions support food production and the recognition of the most outstanding organizations and workers. On April 27, about 50 workers belonging to various sectors, including Culture, Construction, Hotels and Tourism, Public Administration and Sugar Agroindustry Business Group(AZCUBA), will be honored.

Workers members of the National Association of Innovators and Rationalizers (ANIR) will also receive recognitions for their labor results and their efforts to replace imports and boost the economy in Cuba’s Upper East.
