Guantanamo.- Yoel Pérez García, the First Secretary of the Party in Guantánamo Province, urged producers in the “La Clarita” settlement, situated in the mountainous municipality of Yateras, to enhance the cultivation of organic potatoes and other crops. This appeal was made during his visit on Sunday to various economic and social sites within the region.
During his tour, the party leader highlighted the area’s potential for agricultural development, emphasizing the need to strengthen production chains in line with the ongoing economic and social reforms across the nation.
Members of the Lubencio Claro Credit and Services Cooperative expressed their commitment to improving agricultural output, particularly in grains and other crops, by capitalizing on favorable climatic conditions to establish themselves as a significant contributor to food production.

In addition to his visit to Yateras, Pérez García, accompanied by other government officials, assessed the operations of the Pelayo Cuervo primary education center in the coastal community of Viento Frío, San Antonio del Sur.
He also engaged with local healthcare providers at the family doctor’s office, discussing emergency response strategies and encouraging the young physicians to remain in the community to ensure the delivery of quality primary healthcare amidst the country’s challenges.
