The 10 years of the Cuban medical collaboration in the Miracle Mission in Paraguay will be held today with important achievements in helping the neediest population.

The US magazine Travel + Leisure granted today the Galapagos Islands, from Ecuador, the title of the most beautiful and interesting islands for tourists, as a result of a recent survey conducted among readers. The subscribers of the US travel magazine acknowledged the beauty of an archipelago that boasts a rich, rare wildlife, including a species of turtle from which it got its name.

Cuban canoeist Yusmari Mengana won the gold medal in the Pan American Games Toronto 2015, recording 2:00.656 minutes in the K1 500 meters, while Canada and Brazil won silver and bronze medals, respectively. Mengana easily defeated Canadian canoeist Michelle Russell (2:02.381 minutes) and Brazilian Ana Paula Vergutz (2:03.329 minutes).

Italian tour operator Eden Viaggi started summer trips to Jardines del Rey tourist destination with the arrival of first batches of families in a direct one-fligh-a-week from Milan to Cayo Coco. Running from July to mid September, this is a way to increase the entry of Italian tourists in the resort, located in the northern keys of Ciego de Avila.
