The little boy Eric Ángelo Ravelo Lobaina became the first Guantanamo winner in history of the under 12 group of the José Raúl Capablanca International Memorial 2024.
Eric accumulated a total of 7 points in the event, surpassing his performance in 2023, when he scored 6.5 points, fifth overall.
Ravelo has established himself as one of the greatest exponents of his category, with a promising future as he has ventured into other weight competitions, occupying the podium on numerous occasions, including the title obtained in the XXX Guillermo García International Tournament.
