Convention on Envrionment and DevelopmentPrior to the 14th Pre-Convention on Environment and Development will take place in Guantanamo this Monday, April 10, in the halls of the territorial delegation of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment (CITMA), where participants will exchange experiences on sustainable practices, knowledge exchange and the need for new development models.

In the event organized by the local researchers, the papers presented deal with the conservation of protected areas, climate change, ecosystem and biodiversity management, geospatial sciences and disaster risks.

The event is carried out prior to 14th International Convention on Environment and Development, which will take place from July 3 to 7 at the Havana Convention Center with the presence of decision-makers, teachers, specialists, managers, businessmen, professionals and producers who work for solidarity, equity and sustainability.

The first meeting of this type took place in 1997 and since then more than 10,400 people have participated in the event, of which approximately half correspond to visitors from more than 60 countries on all continents. ][/bg_collapse]
