A goal for which it is essential to know the professional human potential that is available, as well as the perspective of their training in technological and research centers, and universities.

Managing the knowledge that is demanded would promote raising the productive capacities, the efficiency and the scientific leadership that is needed to advance in the materialization of the economic-social development plan until 2030.

Ideas widely debated at the April session of the Technical Advisory Council for Science and Innovation, chaired by Governor Emilio Matos Mosqueda and Lieutenant Governor Alis Azahares Torreblanca.

The meeting aimed at promoting government management with the introduction of science and innovation in all processes, and which is made up of an advisory group of experts from the University of Guantanamo, the Provincial Delegation of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment (CITMA) and other organizations.

At the Technical Advisory Council, the Territorial Division of ETECSA Guantánamo and the Integral Construction Enterprise of the province, commercially known as “GUANCO”, presented their respective work designs based on science and innovation.

During the meeting participants dealt with the existing potentialities and barriers in both entities in the concretion of their strategic lines of development, and their prospective incidence, in the progress of the economy and the quality of life of Guantanamo residents, were assessed.

The importance of the management of municipal governments based on science and innovation and its impact on local development, the role and operation of scientific societies and advisory councils in organizations and entities and the generalization of the results of scientific projects, were topics also addressed in the Technical Council.][/bg_collapse]
