The communication campaign of the University of Guantanamo ( UG by its Spanisha cronym), which commemorates the 45th anniversary of its founding, is aimed at praising the educational and scientific work of professors, workers and students.
PhD. Osiris Aranda Creagh, the rector of the institution,said that the university reaches its new birthday with the category of Certified, grantedin 2023 by the National Accreditation Board of the Higher Education Ministry.
She added that public figures and authorities,trained at theHouse of Science and Progress, will be summoned today tribute to the first Higher Education center created in the Cuban Upper East.
Aymeé Rodiles Casamayor, head of theUG’s communication department, explained that the actions will highlight the sociocultural values that are part of the university’sidentity in Guantanamo with the purpose of involving the population in each one of them.
The University of Guantanamo is celebrating its 45th anniversary with more than 97 percent of its students engaged in tasks of economic impact, a highquality teaching staff, with about 72 percent in the scientific category of doctoral and master degrees and specialists.
