With the purpose of promoting the vocational training of students in Guantanamo, pertaining to technical education, it was held the Eighth Provincial Agricultural Teaching Fair this weekend.
The work of the scientific community of Guantanamo is impressive, it was affirmed in this province by América Santos Rivera, vice-president of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment (CITMA), who highlighted the role of the sector in closing cycle of research, production and trade.
The rhythm of the drums and the joy of the children took over the streets of the Loma del Chivo barrio in the Guantanamo City, where the fifth edition of the Children's Rumba Festival was held to celebrate 57th and 58th anniversaries of the Pioneers´s Organization José Martí and the Cuban Young Communists League (UJC), respectively.
The Guantanamo woman, her Afro-Caribbean origins, as well as the cult of the most famous deities of the Afro-Cuban religion (Ochún, Yemayá and Obbatalá) are reflected in the personal exhibition of the artist, Jorge Luis Argüelles from Imias Town, which was opened in the Art Gallery "Antón Morales", in Guantanamo City.
On April 11, the most important historical date of Guantanamo, authorities of the province will give the flag of the Tenth Youth Camp composed of more than thirty workers and students from different parts of the country, who will reenact the route of Jose Marti from Playita to Dos Rios, on the occasion of the 123th anniversary years of the disembark of the National Hero of Cuba by Cajobabo.
